Brad Stevens was interviewed postgame following the Celtics’ 119-114 win vs the Golden State Warriors. He talked about Jabari Parker’s debut as a Celtic, Jayson Tatum’s monster performance, and how hard it is to deal with Stephen Curry.
Parker was recently signed by the Celtics on a two-year contract. He had a solid debut in Boston, scoring 11 points off the bench. “He did a lot of good things,” said Stevens. “Pretty good first night.”
Tatum continued a stretch of monster performances, dropping 44 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists in this one. “He was amazing again,” said Stevens. “I was gassed… he was unbelievable.”
Stevens also commented on how amazing Curry is. “I just hate competing against him, but man do I love watching him,” he said. “You always feel like you’re the next line of a fairy tale.” Curry finished the game with 47 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
